Ants in Mississippi State Parks

      Mississippi is home to 22 state parks. These state parks provide ideal collecting opportunities for the Mississippi Entomological Museum. They are spread throughout the state and offer an array of habitats, often with exceptional forested areas. Initial surveys for ants in these parks have shown that they are quite diverse in species composition. As we travel to the various state parks in the state collecting ants, we will write brief logs of our collecting sojourns and give a list of ant species that we find at each park.
